Maid of Honor
Friend of the Bride. LaShaundra and Kari worked together at UMKC. They enjoyed many laughs, happy hours, 5ks, and disagreeing on football teams. LaShaundra a Chicago Native, is an avid Bears fan while Kari is an owner of the Green Bay Packers. Game days meant lots of trash talk, loud music supporting their teams, and laughter around the office. While they live in different cities now, the trash talk continues and the friendship always picks up right where they left off.
Best Man
Friend of Groom. Jordan and Kevin met their first year at Illinois Wesleyan and have remained close friends since! They joined Sigma Pi together at IWU and were roommates for three years of their undergraduate experience. Thankfully, Jordan, Alex, Kari, and Kevin lived in the same time and get to hang out!
Bridesmaid
Friend of Bride. Kerri and Kari lived across the hall from each other, their freshman year at Valpo. They became instead friends. Kerri always was the more focused of the two. She helped Kari get through her math class and was Kari's go to friend throughout college. Kari and Kerri attended sorority formals together, spent too many late nights at Denny's, and made impromptu trips to Chicago together. The two lived together their senior year, with Kerri's puppy Millie. They enjoyed many more memories when Kari moved after graduate school to Kansas City, where Kerri and her husband Steve live.
Groomsman
Friend of Groom. Will has always been someone Kevin has looked up to for his intelligence and confidence! Will and Kevin joined Sigma Pi together and were roommates for two years at IWU.
Bridesmaid
Friend of Bride. Annie and Kari worked together at Illinois State. Their friendship grew through their love for their sororities and the Olympics. Their friendship continued after Kari moved to Indiana. Now back in Normal, Kari and Annie enjoy their evenings around the fire pit, Blue Tuesday and Election Night watch parties, and reminiscing about that time McKayla Maroney score a 16 on the Vault in the Olympics.
Groomsman
Cousin of Groom. Eric has always been Kevin’s pseudo-brother! Kevin spent some much of his childhood through pre-college learning from Eric’s hard work and dedication to the cattle industry! We have won a lot of shows together, lost even more, but ever thankful for it all!
Bridesmaid
Friend of Couple. Nicki met Kari and Kevin at Ball State. The three of them and Tyler have shared many memories together including helping Kevin move across the street, NYE celebrations, random nights in Indianapolis, conferences, winery visits before SAAHE celebrations, and Zoom gatherings. Nicki and Kari connected the most because they are both strong willed and sarcastic.
Groomsman
Friend of Couple. Tyler is a member of Sigma Pi and this had an instant connection with Kevin. Also, Tyler and Kevin love to vent to one another! In Graduate School, Tyler, Kevin, Kari, and Nicki become close friends through working together. They’ve shared many birthdays, long weekends, and zoom gatherings together!
Usher
Friend & Former Student of Bride. Trevor served on the IFC at Ball State, which Kari advised. Through that experience, Trevor and Kari experienced some great wins like the IFC donation to Dance Marathon that earned them a Riley Wagon at the hospital, and low points like the IFC social pause of 2017. (#freeriverside) Kari is always thankful for Trevor's optimism and strong leadership! Kari and Trevor stayed close after Trevor's graduation. Conveniently, Trevor currently attends Iowa State University for grad school and drives right through Normal on his trips home!
Usher
Friend & Former Student of Groom. Justin and Kevin met at Wittenberg University. Justin was a student leader on the Union Board which Kevin advised. Justin and Kevin connect over so many different things: violence prevention, cold brew, social justice and equity, and so much more!
Officiant
Jennifer was Kari's Greek advisor at Valpo. Jennifer's mentorship to Kari soon turned into a friendship. Kevin met Jennifer during his time at Ball State. We have enjoyed many weekends at wineries in Nashville and southern Illinois!
