It all started with a wedding—but not our wedding. We met walking down the aisle together as the Best Man and Maid of Honor for our dear friends' wedding in 2015. We never could have expected that simple walk would become the first step in a story neither of us could have planned. Over the course of that celebration, we laughed, danced our first dance together, "the Carlton," and created many inside jokes that night — little did we know those memories would last far longer than a night. Life, however, had its own timeline. We each went our separate ways, continuing on our own paths, and eventually became the proud godparents to our friends’ little boy—a sweet reminder that our lives seemed to keep crossing in the most unexpected, meaningful ways. As the years went on life took some turns—good ones, hard ones, and the kind that test who you are. But those chapters taught us resilience and showed us what truly mattered. When the past had settled and the timing finally aligned (with a nudge of friend), we chose to take a leap of faith and give love a chance in 2021—this time built on friendship, understanding, and intention. Along the way, our love grew beyond just the two of us. We brought together our children, creating a beautifully blended family full of laughter, strength, and unconditional love. What began as two separate stories became one shared life—messy, meaningful, and wonderfully full. What started as a perfectly timed walk down an aisle has become a love story full of second chances, laughter, and genuine partnership. We didn’t plan it this way—but maybe that’s what makes it so beautiful.
