It was 2018 when Karen and Ryan's love story first began, just 2 single twenty-somethings who happened to swipe right on J-Swipe. After some back and forth banter, numbers were exchanged and a first date took place. What was supposed to be a short meet up over brunch led to playing mini golf, a stroll at the park, and finding some delicious dessert. After discovering a mutual love of travel, dessert, and country music the rest was history!

It all started out as a weekend celebration for Ryan’s birthday. We took a quick bart ride into the city and checked into the Palace Hotel. After a short stop into our room, we headed into the elevator to go down for pre-dinner drinks. Instead of going to the lobby floor, Ryan pushed floor 2. Karen looked over and asked, "What's on the second floor?" Ryan responded, "My parents said there's a good spot to take a picture." As we walked down the hallway on the second floor, one of the workers led us into a room and proceeded to tell us the history behind it. As we stood to take a picture with a beautiful view overlooking the courtyard, Ryan got down on one knee and popped the question. With absolute shock, Karen said YES! We celebrated by going to Epic Steakhouse and watching a play in the city!
