Karen & Rinel Tabamo

In Fall of 2013, Karen and Rinel met while working at Teavana. Although they worked in the same store, they barely saw each other. When Rinel’s shift was over, Karen’s shift would just start. However, they always enjoyed each other's company when they had a chance to work together during busy weekend shifts. On New Years Eve, 12/31/2013, Rinel messaged Karen and wished her a “Happy New Years Eve!” From then on, they began talking on Facebook, which soon turned into bonding over American Horror Story, getting macaroons at Bennison's Bakery, and some casual dates. Not long after, on 1/28/2014, they officially started dating. Who knew that they would turn from tea-mates to soulmates! Five long years had passed, and they went through their share of ups and downs as a couple. Karen had just finished graduate school May 2019, and Rinel proposed to Karen on July 16th, 2019. Karen was so shocked yet happy, she cried tears of joy as they slow danced in the middle of Rinel's apartment. Now, having spent eight years together, Karen and Rinel are ready to celebrate their love with their cherished family and friends. They look forward to celebrating this special moment on October 8th, 2022.
