Since 1923 the museum has grown from a small engineering study collection to the world's largest military aviation museum and is a world-renowned center for air and space power technology and culture preservation. The museum is home to countless one-of-a-kind objects. The collection includes more than 350 aerospace vehicles and missiles, thousands of artifacts, and spans 20 indoor acres. Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free.
The Dayton Art Institute is a museum of fine arts. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday 12 to 5 pm. Admission is $15 per person.
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park that commemorates three important historical figures- Wilbur Wright, Orville Wright, and poet Paul Laurence Dunbar - and their work in Dayton. The Wright Brothers Cycle Shop is adjacent to this museum. Open Sunday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.
Carillon Historical Park contains historic buildings and exhibits concerning the history of technology and the history of Dayton and its residents from 1796 to the present. Open Monday through Saturday 9:30 am to 5 pm and Sunday noon to 5 pm. Admission is $14 per person.
