Macklen's new brother-in-law and friend from Gonzaga University. Corwin hasn't played Warhammer, but finds the fact that the Warhammer humor-subreddit is called "GrimDank" to be the best joke in and of itself. Currently working as a web-developer for RiskLens, a Spokane based startup. He and Macklen stay up way too late into the night discussing faith, philosophy, politics, ethics, and early-era YouTube memes.

Macklen's younger brother and childhood buddy/nuisance/partner-in-crime. Wyatt will deny it if you ask him, but he used to play "Necromunda" with Macklen using Lego cities and stand in models, which is a game set in the Warhammer universe. Wyatt is currently procrastinating reading Brandon Sanderson, much to Macklen's consternation.

Macklen's "little brother" at the Gonzaga Honors program who quickly moved beyond that to form a true friendship. Cameron has never played Warhammer, much to his own loss. However, he did introduce Macklen to the wonderful world of "Brando Sando" for which Macklen is forever grateful. Macklen will return the favor someday with a great book recommendation.

Macklen's childhood friend and member of the notorious "Nurd Hurd." Growing up, Aun-Nathan's favorite faction of Warhammer was the Tau Empire. He swears he isn't into anime despite the Gundam-like nature of many of their units. Nate is currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science at the University of California Santa Barbara developing GaN vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers. Nate will be the last of the Nurd Hurd to marry, but he was the 3rd to get engaged.

Macklen's childhood friend and member of the ill-famed "Nurd Hurd". While kids, Lord Tim's favorite Warhammer units included anything that ran forward towards the enemy with melee weapons. He insists that his decision to join ROTC wasn't JUST because they gave him a sword. Tim is currently studying for med school. He was the 2nd member of the Nurd Hurd to get married.

Thatcher Montgomery

Macklen's childhood friend and member of the infamous "Nurd Hurd". As boys, Autarch Thatcher's faction of choice in Warhammer were the Aeldari Craftworlds. He's stuck with them through thick, and a lot more thin, so he's a dedicated fellow. Thatcher currently works for the Washington State Department of Ecology helping reduce hazardous waste. He was the first member of the Nurd Hurd to get married.
