Jose and Karen met at work. Karen worked in the optical department and Jose was the deli manager. On his breaks, Jose would purposely ignore Karen to get her attention and it worked because Karen made the first move. However, there was a mix up on their "first date." Karen thought it was a date and Jose thought they were hanging out as friends. Completely under prepared for a first date, Jose took Karen to an escape room thinking they would be able to spend time alone but instead they were joined by a family on vacation from Ohio and have a group photo of their very first "date." Clearly this mix up was meant to be.
