This is a great place to go hiking or climbing. There are timed entry requirements this time of year. Some days if it isn't super busy or you go before 8am, you can still get in without getting an entry reservation.
Another nice location for hiking, although it is a little farther outside Las Vegas than the others. Probably safe to factor in 2-2.5 hours of travel time there and back, depending on what part of the valley you are traveling from.
Our first hike together.
We enjoy going to shows at the Smith Center from time to time. This weekend there appears to be a few music selections including Irish folk music, Pop/Rock, and the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
An interesting museum, and there is a speakeasy in the basement.
A bit of old Vegas. See the old lighted signs for a lot of the venues that are not around anymore.
Very interesting museum touching on many aspects of atomic technology and weapons, with a lot of information on the atomic testing done near Las Vegas.
You can see the dam from the top or take a guided tour of the dam itself. Don't forget to stop by the bridge overlook to get a nice view of the dam in its entirety.
Inside the Bellagio, they put on a different seasonal display each season. They are made of plants and flowers and always impressive.
At the Strat there are a few thrill rides and attractions at the top of the hotel. Check it out if you are feeling brave.
It's Las Vegas! There are so many things that are happening here all the time. Shows, concerts, comedians, Cirque du Soleil! There is an app called Gametime that we use to get discounted (and sometimes really cheap) tickets for stuff happening in town, and you can use this code to get an extra $5. See if something interests you!
