4:00 pm - 4:45 pm
Formal Attire. For our summer/fall wedding, our ceremony will be held outdoors. We suggest that men wear a lightweight suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit.
Although the officiant will have our signatures on the dotted line, we know it won’t be real in our eyes until you help us make the commitment.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Cocktail reception to follow, 4:45-5:45pm That leaves plenty of time for mingling and noshing, while still allowing time for hungrier guests to grab dinner afterward. In the meantime enjoy a margarita, beer or delicious Mexican desserts from The Botana table while wifey & hubby get some time alone and get ready to meet you guys back at the reception!
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
No need to front, this is what we all have been waiting for. Enjoy a margarita or beer at the bar while wifey & hubby (wait, us?) snap some photos, then gather back ‘round in the reception for their first dance.
8:00 pm - 8:30 pm
If you’re new to the money dance or dollar dance wedding tradition, here’s a brief rundown. Generally, it’s an upbeat and interactive part of the reception involving music, dancing and bills of money being tossed at or handed to the couple by their guests. The money dance is a cultural tradition at many wedding receptions, its where guests “pay” for a dance with the couple by pinning dollars on their attire or putting it inside a box. It’s a way to secure some one-on-one time with the newlyweds—which is rare in large Mexican weddings—and to extend best wishes to the happy couple.
