Flights/Ferry
We highly recommend flying into San Juan—it’s usually much cheaper than flying straight to Vieques. Once you land, just hop in a taxi or Uber for a scenic 90-minute ride to the Ceiba ferry terminal. The ferry is super affordable, and you can grab your tickets online ahead of time (link below). Once you arrive in Vieques, the car rental agencies have transportation to take you to pick up your car. To explore the tiny island, we highly suggest renting a Jeep (there are several car rental places to choose from)—but be warned, chickens and horses are roaming everywhere, and the sweet locals drive like maniacs. :)
