Welcome to our destination wedding celebration! This is not only a celebration of us but also celebration of bringing our family & closest friends together! We appreciate the miles of travel it takes to get to beautiful Smith Mountain Lake. Chris & I both agree it's the most beautiful lake in Virginia with breathtaking mountain views. The wedding ceremony & reception will be held at the Pergola & Pavillon at Bernard's Landing in Moneta, VA. (Shown in pic) The majority of our guests are renting 1 -4 bedroom condo's right at Bernard's Landing Resort. This is by far the most convenient as hotel options in the area are limited. The nearest airports are Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport & Lynchburg Regional Airport both 1 hour from venue as well as hotel options.

Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is 56 minutes (34.4 miles) from Bernard's Landing wedding venue. Roanoke is the largest city nearest to Smith Mountain Lake offering several hotel options for guest that don't mind driving an hour to the cermony & wedding venue.

Lynchburg Regional Airport

Lynchburg is a quaint town & rated one of best places to live in Virginia. For our Michigan or Ohio family & friends this is an option traveling by air & car rental. Located one hour SE to Smith Mountain Lake and 1 hour 6 minutes (50 miles) from Bernards Landing wedding venue.

We picked Labor Day weekend for our guest so you can have Monday, Labor Day off to relax or to travel back home. The wedding and reception is on Saturday. Condos can be rented from 2- 7 nights. Chris & I will be staying the entire week to allow for a mini moon! It's truly a place to relax and recharge your battery. We absolutely love Bernard's Landing and our top choice for our guests to stay. There are other options to rent a condo on airbnb.com. Please note paying a guest fee and cleaning fee is standard in the area. If you have any problem finding a condo that suits your needs please let us know. We are happy to assist you.

Hotels are an option if you choose not to stay at Bernard's Landing. Lynchburg a quaint town and is home to Liberty University with several hotel options at affordable rates. It's an hour from the wedding venue. Unfortunately, there are no desirable hotels around Smith Mountain Lake.
