Brian had a tradition of playing volley ball with his friends at his neighborhood bar. After all the traveling Karen had done it was fate to end up working at the sand bar on The Fox River where Brian and his friends would spend their summers boating and having fun in the sun. It actually took over a year for their lives to line up at the same time. One day Karen was having a hard time at the mechanics when Brian swooped in to check her breaks out. That all led to a summer of fun on the fox river and in no time at all falling in love. Our story is unique in the sense that timing was right for the both of us even after years of knowing each other. Also we decided our story would roll backwards with 2 babies first then a house and now marriage. It is finally our time to celebrate the Love that built our beautiful life. ( and by the way it took him a whole year until he actually fixed the breaks on my car)
On a relaxing spring day while I was 4 months pregnant with our daughter Robbye, I was headed off to the spa to have a pedicure when Brian called and surprised me with family pictures to be taken that afternoon at a local forest preserve. Naturally, me being a woman and pregnant, I threw a fit because I hadn't prepared clothing for our family, I didn't have time to properly get ready so I told him to reschedule the photos. Hours later as I finally have made it home and I am sitting on the couch admiring my toes, my daughter RaeLynn came around the corner with a breath taking ring in her hand. As I took it from her to see what exactly it was her father followed around the corner shaking with nerves and asked me to marry him. I guess those family photos after all were going to be surprise photographed engagement! I cursed myself for being stubborn that day but I wouldn't change our story in anyway.
