We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Thank you for not bringing a guest.
It is black tie attire preferred, so dress to impress. It will be cold, bring a jacket. We recommend shades of green, but wear anything you want.
The Ceremony will be held outside near a waterfall. It is about a 5 minute hike from the parking lot. It is a very easy, flat hike. The reception will be held indoors at the Umi Hotel.
Yes, you do need a passport to fly to Iceland. If you choose to do the European cruise a passport is required as well.
No, Iceland has lifted all COVID restrictions for travelers.
If possible, try to budget about $120.00 per person, per day. Also keep in mind that Iceland does not have Uber, or ride share apps. We have added a link to a car rental service on our Travel page that will allow you to see how much to budget for your specific car. You can book the car as early as today. Keep in mind that alcohol in Iceland costs about 20% more than it does in The United States. However you can purchase bottles at the airport tax free. The airline also allows you to pack a few bottles in your check in luggage. We will be providing unlimited alcohol for our reception. Make sure to budget for your hotel or Airbnb as well. The price for that depends on where you stay and how many days you’d like to be there.
No, but you are welcome to book a stay there for the night before the wedding. The UMI hotel does allow payment plans. They will also be providing our guests with a discount if they choose to book with them. We did book the entire hotel for our guests and you are all guaranteed a room for the night of October 13th, 2022. We have created a list of other hotels and Airbnb’s that we believe our guests may be interested in. We strongly recommend that you stay at Hotel UMI the night of October 12th, 2022.
We are looking forward to having our guests relax and enjoy an evening of celebration—our wedding will be an adult-only occasion. We politely request no children at this private, intimate event.
At this time, the answer is yes. They will be requiring guests to have both vaccinations before boarding the cruise ship.
We are so excited that you'll be joining us, and we want you to relax and be fully present for our ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture every moment, and we'll make sure you see those photos as soon as we do! With this in mind, we ask that you refrain from photos during the ceremony.
As of 06/10/2022, The United States no longer has any COVID restrictions for travelers.
Dress up or down. We recommend nice attire that you will be comfortable wearing throughout the day. Do not forget your hiking boots!
