We met in October 2019 through a friend named Mary at a Tennessee Titan's football game in Nashville, TN. Alex was new to town and as providence would have it, we sat next to each other during the game and hit it off! For a little over a year, we saw each other at events with friends and developed a friendship over the months. I definitely had a crush on Alex and wanted him to ask me out. January 2021, Alex attended my going away party as I headed out of town and moved to Charlotte, NC the following month. There were crickets between us until May 2024 when Alex was looking to reconnect. He reached out to see if we could grab coffee or go for a hike the next time I visited home. We made plans for a weekend in June, but the plans didn't work out. By this past December, Alex had moved back to Ohio and was praying in St. Lawrence Church for God to bring the right women into his life when he received a prompting to reach out to me. Once Alex found out that I was not dating anyone, we connected through a brief phone call. I will never forget that phone call. It was everything. There is so much to share here, but suffice to say, he finally asked me out! :) Well, he actually asked if I would be open to dating and said he would come to Charlotte so we could spend some time together and see what we thought. Three weeks later and four years since we last saw each other, Alex visited me in Charlotte in January. We started the weekend off easily reconnecting as friends and ended the weekend as a dating couple and well . . . the rest is history! We got engaged the last weekend in March and we're getting married the last weekend in September in St. Lawrence! We both turned 40 this past year so our love story took a little longer. Now that it's finally happening, I wouldn't change a thing, and I would wait another decade for him! That's just how it is for the right one! Our foundation as friends was such a blessing and our love now is reaping the benefits! We are so amazed at how God brought us back together and are excited for whatever He has in store for us in the future! Love, Karen & Alex
