We are incredibly blessed to not need gifts off of a registry but we are accepting gifts toward our honeymoon which will be some time after our wedding. We are also grateful for your presence and understand if your gift to us is making the trek to Raleigh for the wedding!
While we love the kids in our families so incredibly much we have decided to make the wedding adults only due to the location, open bar, and significant travel accommodations.
There will be plenty of free parking at the museum available.
Unfortunately we could not find a bus group travel option. However, the venue is a mere 12-15 minute drive away from where the recommended hotels will be. There is also plenty of parking at the wedding venue should anyone choose to use their own car/rental/etc. and the venue has permitted us to leave cars there overnight. Additionally, we will be providing uber codes for transportation leaving the wedding to get back to the hotel or to go to the after party (the hotel and after party Irish Pub are less than a 5 minute walk away from each other).
We recommend flying into Raleigh-Durham International Airport which will be an 18 minute drive or ride to the hotel accommodations booked on Glenwood Ave. Of note, if you are flying into this airport you will need to take a shuttle to retrieve your rental car which is conveniently located right outside of the baggage claim area.
The wedding attire will be quite formal as the venue will be located in a museum. However, please wear what you are comfortable in! Notably, the museum itself will likely be a bit chilly during the ceremony and warmer during the reception as we are hoping to have dancing follow dinner!
If you have any allergies please let us know so that we can let the venue you know and keep you informed of any foods that may have an ingredient that you are allergic to. Food will be buffet style so you will able to pick and choose items that work best for you as well. If you have any specific dietary needs (vegan/vegetarian/etc.) and would need a plate specially prepared based on those dietary concerns then please reach out to us so that we can see what the venue can do to accommodate! Reaching out to either of us via phone/text or email would work.
The Hampton Inn & Suites is lovely and located in downtown Raleigh with a small heated pool, gym, and small snacks and beers are available for purchase at an upcharge. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance but there are no restaurants or bar available at the hotel itself. There is also a CVS within walking distance. Hotel parking is available nearby.
