How to get there?

The best route to San Miguel de Allende depends on your departure city. However, the general recommendations are as follows: you can fly into Mexico City's Benito Juárez International Airport and take a connecting flight to Querétaro International Airport. Once in Querétaro, you can either take a direct bus to San Miguel de Allende or rent a car to drive there. The distance from Querétaro International Airport to San Miguel de Allende is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. An alternative option is to fly directly into Mexico City's Benito Juárez International Airport, then take a taxi to the Central de Autobuses del Norte (Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas 4907, Panamericana, Gustavo A. Madero), a journey that takes approximately 20 minutes. From there, you can catch a direct bus to the San Miguel de Allende bus terminal. Another option is to rent a car at the airport and drive to San Miguel de Allende, a trip that takes around 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Bus Information from Queretaro

Upon arrival at Querétaro International Airport, you can take a taxi to the Querétaro Bus Terminal (Terminal de Autobuses, 76063 Santiago de Querétaro, Qro., Mexico), from which buses to San Miguel de Allende depart. It is advisable to check the schedules in advance. If you are unsure of the best time for your trip, you may purchase an open ticket.
