FROM PA-92N (Longest time on paved roads) You will turn right onto Fiddle Lake Rd from PA-92N. Stay on Fiddle Lake Rd 0.8 miles until it turns into State Rte 1001. Continue to follow State Rte 1001 for 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Stalker Hill Rd (T635). This is where the road becomes a very nice dirt road. Stay on Stalker Hill Rd as it twists and turns for 1.3 miles. The destination will be on your right, you will see the barn. FROM PA-92N (The way my GPS sent me) You will turn right onto Fiddle Lake Rd from PA-92N. Stay on Fiddle Lake Rd 0.8 miles until you turn right onto Baldwin Rd (T-741). This is the dirt road right in front of the house on the corner. Follow the road 1.4 miles until you reach the end of that segment with a tree line and a field in front of you. Turn right to stay on Baldwin road. The road will take a sharp left, but continue for 1 mile. At the end of Baldwin road you will see a house on your left with a red roof. Take the left onto Stalker Hill Rd (T661) and the destination is on your left in a few yards. You will see the barn on your left.
FROM 84W --> NY-17W--> NY-17B W/State Hwy17B I assume your GPS will have service until you get closer. Follow NY-17B W/State HWY 17B 15 miles until it turns into Co Rd 114. Continue on Co Rd 114 another 4.7 miles. Some weird stuff happens and Cochecton and Co Rd 114 becomes NY-97S for 0.1miles (essentially merges) and you take the right at the fork onto Newburgh Turnpike. Cross the Delaware River and continue onto PA-371 W for 16 miles. For some reason the roads don't align great so after the 16 miles you need to do a quick left onto PA 247 S and quick right back onto PA- 371 W. Continue for 7.3 more miles. Take a right onto PA-171 N and continue for 6 miles. You are then going to take a left onto Ararat Rd (dirt road). Follow the road for 1.6 miles. Continue straight onto Town House Rd (Ararat Rd actually takes a sharp right at that intersection so do not follow it, continue straight). Follow that road 0.7 miles. You will see the Ararat cemetery on your left across the street. Turn right onto Ridge Rd (T 740). Follow for 0.7 miles and turn left onto Stalker Hill Rd (T661). Stay straight and the barn will be on your left in a few hundred feet.
Most likely you will not have great cell service in the area. However, we are hopefully going to bring our Starlink and be able to provide Wifi.
Thompson is a small town, but the best way to stay nearby would be to get an AirBnB. There are a few in the area. If you like hotels though, the Speakeasy Saloon and Resort is the closest option.
