Opa! we're getting married

In 2022, with a girlfriend, Ikia headed off to Greece for 10 days for what she thought would be the greatest single-girl trip of the year (#solteraworldtour). The first night of the trip they went to a popular bar recommended by a friend... 360 Athens. Her friend noticed the cute bartenders and Ikia remembers distinctly saying (about Giorgos of course 😉) "That's my Greek Husband!" That night another friend introduced us and we got to know each other, talking until the bar closed and exchanging Instagram handles. The following day Ikia headed off to the Islands and lightly texted but didn't expect too much from Giorgos. Once the girls were back in Athens, Giorgos invited them back to 360. That night after the bar closed we went on our "first date," by motorcycle to the top of Lycabetus and shared laughs and stories about our grandparents! After a few days together we decided Ikia would “miss her flight” and stay with Giorgos a little longer. (We're so sorry Lauren, we love you!) Since then, we’ve only let about 3 months go by without seeing each other and try to spend close to a month at a time when we do see each other. We both love to travel, which has allowed our relationship to grow over the past two years in California, Northern Greece, the Greek Islands, Barcelona, Cyprus, and most recently Paris. Since the moment we met, (even with distance and language barriers) we’ve felt an unexplainable tie to one another and we can’t wait to celebrate our love and our life with you as we plan on forever.

With our unique situation, we have planned celebrations across two continents to allow our families and loved ones to celebrate with us. Destination Wedding Paros, Greece - Saturday, June 21, 2025 This will be our destination wedding honoring Giorgos' Greek heritage and Greek Orthodox faith. Taking place on our favorite Greek Island. Back to the States for a Celebration Hesperia, California - Saturday, September 13, 2025 A continuation of our Greek celebration honoring Ikia's Mexican heritage and Catholic faith. Taking place at her childhood home.
