Sister, partner-in-crime, built in best friend, the list could go on! Although Hannah may have wanted to leave Nikki at the hospital after meeting her for the very first time, that quickly changed as the two did (and still do) just about everything together. Nikki has the absolute best role model to look up to throughout all of life's moments. You can catch these two at many of the concerts around Milwaukee during the year, some of which Nikki simply goes to support Hannah's "emo" spirit at, or on the rooftop at Indeed Brewing Co. sipping on their favorite brews.
Hayden Duncan

Tim and Hayden go back to middle school, but it wasn't until high school where the two hit it off and, eventually, became roommates in college. Yup, Hayden was also Nikki's next door neighbor. Tim and Hayden enjoyed many spring break trips together, including one of their favorites with Nikki and Grace, Hayden's wife, on a road trip to Florida. Tim and Nikki love being able to visit the pair in Rochester, MN, where they spend the weekends checking out the local drink and food spots or a night in playing all the board games.

Bride's bestie! Kate and Nikki met on the grounds of Northland Lodge near Hayward, WI about 14 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. The two have gone through all of life's moments together (some of the best and many of the awkward). No matter the time apart, their conversations could go on and on, and Nikki couldn't be more thankful for her go-to gal. When they get together, you'll find them chatting at the best local coffee shops, "browsing" in any and all shopping spots, or full-volume, jamming out to their latest song obsession.
Brett Abts

Tim's favorite brother! Even though they grew up 10 years apart, they were still close throughout the years. From an early age, Brett's gaming interests rubbed off onto Tim. Back in the day, Tim could be found playing on Brett's Nintendo or Playstation. As they grew up, they started playing more board games and spent many hours on Settlers of Catan with their parents. Brett and Tim watch similar anime and cooking videos and always find themselves picking back up in conversations about each. Tim was able to watch Brett marry his wife this past May and is excited to have him by his side as he marries Nikki.
Kayla Pundt

One of Tim's amazing, older sisters! Nikki still vividly remembers the first time she met Kayla, and she simply could not have felt more welcomed into the family. It's clear to Nikki how much Tim loves and looks up to his siblings, and the same could be said for the love she's seen his sisters have for their little brother. Nikki loves getting all the "inside scoop" stories about Tim growing up, especially from his sisters. Nikki is so excited to gain Kayla as her new sister and continue making memories together, especially with all the adventures that include the nieces and nephews.
Jaran Defries

Jaran and Tim met when Tim started working at Winona Feed, Seed & More. Jaran took Tim under his wing and taught him everything there was to know about the store. One of Tim's favorite times coming to Milwaukee was on a weekend trip to see the Brewers with Jaran, his wife Dani, and his brother Harrison. In college, Jaran and Tim played sand volleyball and, occasionally, fished on the Mississippi. Jaran introduced Tim to Craig when Tim was asked to be apart of the Blackhorse volleyball team. The three have been great friends ever since. Nowadays, they enjoy getting together for dinner and a movie, catching up over drinks, or more frequently, a casual Friday gaming night.

Another amazing sister of Tim! Amber is an insanely talented photographer that has captured the many "Are you two engaged!?" professional photos of Nikki and Tim over their 8 years of dating. She even was gracious to do an actual mini engagement session of the two right where it all started in Winona. Amber also made Nikki feel so welcome upon the first time meeting her, and it made Nikki that much more excited to build her own relationship with her and Kayla. Nikki always looks forward to their long weekends spent together with, of course, all the delicious, home-cooked meals.
Craig Weatherhead

Craig and Tim met in his early days of college when Tim worked with Jaran at Winona Feed, Seed & More. Tim and Nikki were asked to be apart of a co-ed sand volleyball team at the Blackhorse in Winona, MN. On that team was Craig and his then girlfriend, now wife Winnie. Their friendship grew, and they made many memories dominating on the court. When COVID shut the world down, Jaran, Craig, and Tim became very close, playing the one and only, Call of Duty #WhereWeDroppin'Boys? The three enjoy discussing their love of all things Star Wars, Marvel, Packers/Vikings, and Game of Thrones.

A college roomie quickly turned into life-long friend! Nikki has no idea how she went without Anna before their college years. The two met freshman year through a mutual friend and quickly learned how similar they were, both with the same humor (even though some may not agree to what they find funny) and carefree spirits. Seriously, there's no time without waiting out one of their giggle sessions. The two share an abundance of stories they won't ever forget. They are so lucky to be from and settled in the same area, where they continue to enjoy little dinner dates and any music or sporting events together.
Nathan Decker

Nathan (who you will only hear the couple refer to as "Decker") and Tim grew close in the fifth grade, as Decker moved right next door to the Abts household. They did everything together as kids, including Parks & Rec Golf. They remained close through high school, despite going to separate schools. Tim and Decker continued to become closer through college, and when Tim was finally ready to leave the nest, they became roommates Tim's junior year of college. They lived together for a couple of years and had some of the best times. Decker now lives in Nashville, TN, so they remain close through video games, fantasy football, and the occasional meetup when their schedules allow.

The one to complete our unforgettable, college trio. Similar to the other third, it's hard to remember a life without Jess. Nikki and Jess also met freshman year of college through endless rounds of sand volleyball and soon became the best of friends. There's no words for the amount of laughs, tears, all of the above they've shared (just snapchat memories that they will continue to share every. single. year.). The two continue to celebrate each other, including one of Nikki's favorite roles as "Auntie" to Jess's two, cutest kids. Nikki loves, to this day, her visits to do all Winona things with Jess.

When Tim was introduced to all of Nikki's family, he had a hard time remembering all the names. To makes things simple, he saved Josh as "Nikki's Tall Cousin" on Snapchat. Josh and Tim hit it off right away. Their competitiveness keeps things interesting, whether it's on the golf course, on the water, or in the backyard. Josh is Tim's closest confidant in Milwaukee and is always there when Tim needs a hand, whether that's moving a couch or picking him up on the interstate when the ol' Accord inevitably breaks down.

From Kindergarten and on! It all started with a trip to the office for one of Nikki's poor decisions and a bond over Wendy's (yes, the fast food joint). Lauren and Nikki have, quite literally, done it all together. Some of their favorite memories go back to endless traveling around the states for volleyball tournaments and all the free time in between. Nikki considers Lauren a sister, and they both know they've always got each other. You can catch Nikki and Lauren having endless conversations at any of their local "fine dines", including their latest obsession, Chili's.
Josh Robertson

Tim's best friend from Luther High! Many don't know this, but Tim and Josh were supposed to be roommates at Martin Luther College. While they chose a different route, Josh spent his post-college years teaching in California and, recently, just moved to Florida to continue enriching the minds of our youth. Josh and Tim were in cross country, student council, show choir, and Josh even convinced Tim to take part in a musical! Tim and Josh enjoy getting together back in their hometowns near the La Crosse area.

The bride's high school "twin", easily mistaken for one another! Lauren and Nikki met just before their years at IKE, introduced by their older sisters (which may have just meant Lauren would be stuck with Nikki from then, on). Regardless, they grew their own bond and stuck together through all of the moments. Although it was strange leaving behind their constant, sports-related commitments and venturing to different colleges paths, these two still find their way back to one another, usually hanging out by a summer fire or visiting Ope! Brewing so Sully, Lauren's sweet pup, can come along for the ride.

Tim's favorite dentist! Elliot is the closest to Tim's age out of all of his cousins. This lead to many memories, including golf, basketball, cards, and everything else under the sun. Some of Tim's favorite moments spent with Elliot were holidays at Grandma Shambeau's and going to Florida back in high school. Tim and Elliot like to catch a round on the links after work when they can, or go to Bucks or Brewers games in Milwaukee when time allows.

The two that complete "The Best of 7" title with Nikki and Hannah. Rachel and Emily are Nikki's cousins that could, really, also be considered siblings. Nikki is so grateful to have these two as her righthand women on the big day.
