Our first date wasn’t fancy—it was Oakland Beach for a casual hangout, followed by Applebee’s where we ordered literally every appetizer on the menu. From that night on, we were pretty much inseparable. Within two months Jamie was on a plane with me to Florida, and not long after that, we moved in together to start building the beautiful life we share today. Since then, our greatest adventure has been raising our three amazing children. They keep us laughing, grounded, and remind us daily why we make such a good team. On my birthday, during a family trip to Tennessee, Jamie completely surprised me by proposing with my grandmother’s wedding ring—a moment that was sentimental, emotional, and absolutely perfect.
