It's a love story, baby just say yes! Sorry we're jumping ahead! Karan and Karishma met in high school thanks to mutual friends, and we had a lot of differences - Karan was bookish, competitive, and loved 8:00 AM gym class, while Karishma was bubbly, likeable, and hated 8:00 AM gym class. But between school, carpools, and prom (and a shared love for Tex-Mex, making for an excellent first date on Valentine's Day), we clicked instantly. It's been 10 years since Karishma and Karan first snuck away after late night homework sessions for hot chocolate. We've survived college in Philadelphia, long-distance when Karan moved to NYC, the pandemic, and moving into our first home together (and maybe most difficult, Karan's undying love for Taylor Swift). We couldn't be more excited to celebrate our wedding together with our closest family and friends, who help make our relationship that much more special.
Over the pandemic, Karan fell in love... with cooking. Karishma was invited to come over for a quick bite before a weekend in New York. Instead, she showed up to a three course meal over candlelight. Then, Karan made a few wrong turns on the way to the train station and detoured to Princeton, where the two of them had spent countless hours roaming around over the past decade. Clueless to what was happening, Karishma went along with the new plan. As they walked through campus, they came across several stations of rose petals, candles, pictures, and handwritten notes, each from past epic KP^2 dates. Finally, they arrived at Karishma’s favorite spot on campus, which was decorated with a trail of roses and one final picture. Surrounded by their families, Karan got down on one knee... and it's a love story, so Karishma just said yes!
