We're getting married!

If you are curious why the wedding is on a Sunday… April 26th was the day we started dating, the next year on April 26th he proposed, and now April 26th, 2026 will be our wedding date as well!

Our first official date was supposed to be at Fort Rock Brewery to have a drink, then to pop over next door to play mini golf. We got our drink..probably around 6pm, and by the time we looked at the clock it was suddenly 10pm and mini golf was closed! We had started talking and never stopped (so weird for Kara to talk, right?)! We had been having so much fun the night absolutely flew by. Fast forward a year to our anniversary where we decided to redo our mini golf date. We had our drink, and actually made it over this time. We played a few arcade games and then hit the golf course. When we reached #14 (Kara's sports/favorite/lucky number), she noticed a song that is special to them was playing, and it definitely did not match the pirate theme music that was playing over the rest of the course. She started to play and when she turned around, Mark was on one knee holding out a ring box (that was a golf ball!!). Kara absolutely froze with a smile on her face and kept saying "what?? Is this happening??" while Mark was also just frozen, but with a grin. She of course said yes, and obviously they finished the course (she won). They walked back to the brewery to get a drink to celebrate, and Mark had brought two of her closest friends, her parents, and her closest family friends all up from hours away to be there to celebrate!!
