They met a very unconventional way. COVID was still very present in 2020. Around this time, Kara lived in Ephrata, PA and worked as a Field Education Specialist. She worked remotely in her spacious apartment with her fur baby Nova! At the same time, Adam was living his gamer and bachelor lifestyle back in Lacey, WA. Working at Western State Hospital and hanging with his friends from work. Little did these two know they had many things in common, including a beautiful and amazing friend named Demi! Demi and Kara were friends from her past work at the YMCA in Tacoma, WA. They would video chat often! Adam and Demi were part of a group of friends who enjoyed hanging out. One fateful or Demi-spelled day. Demi video called Kara over her lunch break. The began talking and laughing. Demi said she wasn't alone and turned the camera on to Adam! Both Kara and Adam gave friendly smiles and awkward conversation. Kara thought Adam looked handsome and sweet. But since she was mending her heart from a previous relationship, she viewed him as a new potential friend. Adam thought Kara Was beautiful and nice but felt so awkward. However, she was thousands of miles away so that was that. The video chat ended, and a week went by. Demi texted Kara asking if it was okay for her to give Adam her number. Kara contemplated it because she wasn't interested in starting anything with anyone. So, Kara said yes as long as he was clear that she just wanted to be friends. A few days later Adam texted Kara. They both texted back and forth for weeks getting to know each other. And then, they decided to do a video chat. This led to more conversations, laughs, and Adam presenting show and movie options. Kara and Adam would continue escalating texts from here and there to all day and video chats to a weekly regular date. Soon it became evident to Kara that there was much more to this then she originally thought. So, she took the leap and had a defining conversation with Adam where he admitted to having more than just friend feelings for Kara all along. They both decided this connection was worth it and took the leap into a relationship. Without meeting in person or meeting each other's friends. Their relationship continued to blossom. They got creative with the virtual dates, spoiled each other on birthdays and holidays, and more! Spring of 2021 brought major change and beauty. Adam flew for the first time in years out to be with Kara. Adam had no idea Kara had spent so much time finding the right outfit, deep cleaning her already clean apartment, preparing food, preparing friends and family, and spending endless time prepping to pick Adam up. Kara drove the hour and a half to the airport. She was trying to remain calm from excitement and nerves. The same time Adam was extremely nervous from the flight and anticipation of meeting Kara. Both hoping the connection they had would be even stronger in person. Kara parked her car and headed to the exit to wait for Adam. Adam walked off the plane and headed for baggage claim. Both were sweating from nerves and excitement. Kara stood watching ever man exiting hoping she didn't miss him. And then Adam emerged from the doors. As he walked towards her, they both caught eyes at each other, immediately smiles were across their faces, and a long embrace welcome occurred. During Adam's visit they had many adventures to Philly, Gettysburg, and around Lancaster. He decided to meet her parents and Kara met his aunt and cousins. It was a whirlwind. The last night of Adams visit, Kara cooked a romantic dinner. When dinner was over Adam looked into Kara's eyes and told her he loved her. Kara was so surprised, calm, happy, and excited. Kara said she loved Adam as well! And from there many leaps of faith for love, building a home together, and loving their fur babies. Now, here we are! These two loving people are getting married!! They met in an unconventual way and took major leaps for love! But looking back, their love was meant!
