Hays City Store & Ice House
Our go to restaurant with a laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. Menu is very diverse but don't worry, all food and drinks are still delicious. Always a popular place with great outdoor seating. If you're lucky, you may even be able to catch Kevin Fowler hop on the stage with whoever is singing that night.
Creekhouse Kitchen & Bar
Great restaurant on the square in Wimberley sitting on the creek with views of the water and historic cypress trees around. We love going here and sharing appetizers while listening to live music or staying for dinner.
Community Pizza & Beer Garden
Great spot for families to hangout and grab some pizza in downtown Wimberley with a wide variety on their menu. Great indoor and outdoor area to enjoy the wonderful weather and grab some food and drinks.
The Leaning Pear
A great option for locally sourced delicious farm to table meals. Great indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Hildee's Restaurant & Bar
Delicious southern comfort food with a flair of fancy. Hildees is a great choice for unique foods that you may not experience anywhere else. Food and drinks are always great here and if you're not careful, you may see the bride's parents pulling out of their nearby driveway.
The Salt Lick BBQ
A staple of Texas BBQ. The Salt Lick consists of both indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy delicious food. As you walk in, you'll see the large pit that the has been used for decades to cook the food. Salt Lick allows you to bring in your own drinks or purchase beer and wine on property.
Cypress Creek Coffee House
Our favorite locally owned coffee shop located on The Square in Wimberley.
Sonder Coffee Lounge
A cute and intimate space to relax and just grab a cup of coffee with friends or do a little work. They also have great snacks to hold you over to the next meal!
Desert Door Distillery
Our absolute favorite place to go for amazing cocktails made with Sotol. Great ambience, incredible staff, and always a fantastic experience. It's rare we make a trip to Wimberley and don't at least stop in for a drink. Mention David and Sheryl and you may get the exclusive member upcharge ;-) .
The Shady Llama
Amazing hillside with incredible sunset views in the evening serving Texas Beer and Wine with food trucks rotating around. If you're lucky, the 9 llamas and 2 donkeys will make an appearance for additional entertainment
Wimberley Valley Winery
For those who love sweeter wines and great outdoor space to explore and enjoy the weather. You can also enjoy delicious snacks from their food truck or try some of their beers from their own brewery.
Driftwood Estate Winery
Beautiful hillside looking over the Driftwood countryside and vineyard. Driftwood Estate is a great evening hangout to watch the sunset offering more of your dry red and white wines.
Duchman Family Winery
A little bit of Italy vibes brought to Texas. Building resembles something you'd find in Tuscany with great dry red and white wines to enjoy. If you're looking for something to eat, you can walk over to Trattoria Lisina on the same property for some delicious Italian food.
Blue Hole Regional Park
One of Wimberley's most well known attractions and an incredible place to swim in the summertime. Blue Hole Regional Park have numerous gravel and paved hiking paths to walk through the wilderness and experience nature. If you're lucky, you may even find the hidden treehouse we stop at and admire on the hiking path between Blue Hole and town but you'll have to keep your eyes open.
Old Baldy
If you're looking for a quick way to get your heart pumping, hike up the 218 steps to the top of Mount Baldy for a 360 degree view of the Wimberley Valley. Not a long hike but the views are still just as rewarding. This is a great early morning adventure to get out and about that we have made numerous times. You may find us up there Saturday morning sweating the nerves out before the ceremony.
Wimberley Square
Filled with a variety of shops, The Square is a great place to explore no matter what you may be looking for. Located in downtown Wimberley, The Square gives you that small town feel with plenty of options.
