We met back in high school. Life took us both to different places Justin joined the Air Force and I went to college even with distance and different paths we were always friends. A few years later we reconnected on social media. He asked me out to coffee and took me on my first motorcycle ride and a hike near Ellicott city. By the end of that day i knew he was someone special. we talked for hours i just enjoyed how much we could make each other laugh. we learned then how much we had in common and how we both had a taste for life and adventure

Fast forward four years later Justin decided to plan a trip for my birthday and we had both been itching to go to Colorado. Both of us love the mountains and hiking and all the beautiful places in see and spent time there when we were younger and wanted to go make memories of our own there. I had no idea the memories we were about to make. Justin planned a hike for us to take in the Rocky Mountains around Bear Lake. when we were about half way around the trail. Justin suggested walking onto the frozen lake. I was nervous but, i trusted Justin and his eagle scout abilities and followed him. We took a quick picture and i started to walk back to the trail and felt him grab my hand and when i turned back around he was on one knee. With happy joyous sobs i said YES. it is a moment i will never forget and one of the happiest moments of my life.
