Scott and Kara met in January 2014 in NYC, on a blind date set up by his brother and best man Jack. While they had a lovely time, Scott put a damper on the evening after informing Kara that he had accepted a job in Boston and would be moving away in a few short weeks. What ensued could only be described as a whirlwind romance. Their dates consisted of Donkey Kong Country, exhibits at the Met, and fierce ping-pong battles (more like beatdowns delivered by Kara). As Scott packed up his things and moved away, they wondered what the future held in store for them. Kara visited Boston on Valentines Day Weekend, and they agreed to give this long-distance relationship a shot! They worked out a plan where each person would alternate traveling every 2 weeks (Bolt Bus twice a month, what could go wrong?!). When Kara headed north, they explored New England together - Cape Cod, Newport, Kennebunkport, Killington, and more. When Scott came south, they spent a lot of time with friends and family. In July 2016, after two and a half years, Scott moved back to NYC to be with Kara. And the following spring, he proposed while visiting Boston, back where the love story all started.
