Kara and Rose met in college while working at Sansu Sushi and Cocktails in East Lansing, MI. What started as two coworkers who couldn’t stand each other quickly turned into something more. In the summer of 2017, they took a trip to northern Michigan, where they watched the Perseid meteor shower side by side. Under a sky full of stars, they fell in love—and the rest is history. Rose proposed to Kara at the Chicago Botanic Garden in April 2024, and Kara followed with her own proposal in Charlevoix, MI that August. After spending years living in the Pacific Northwest, they have decided to wed in a private ceremony on Mt. Hood in April 2025. They can’t wait to celebrate their marriage with all their friends and family at a big reception on October 4, 2025, in Long Grove, IL!
