Kara and Bobby practically grew up together. Whether it was family vacations, mountain getaways, parent parties, or competitive sports, their lives always seemed to cross paths. They both went off to college at CU Boulder and lived separate lives growing as individuals. But it wasn’t until later in life—after Kara stopped making questionable choices and Bobby finally matured—that they realized they genuinely enjoyed each other’s company. Suddenly, they weren’t just “Maddy’s Best Friend” and “Maddy’s Brother” anymore. What started with shared concerts, travel adventures, ski runs and rounds of golf quickly turned into something more—they became inseparable, finding in each other not just a best friend, but the person they couldn’t imagine life without. When Bobby moved into Kara's house in Fort Collins, Kara knew this was the real deal. Two years of the secret out of the bag and plenty of laughs later, Bobby proposed at Horsetooth Reservoir, and the rest is history in the making. Now, they’re excited to build a life together—ideally in a house where Bobby doesn’t bump his head on the ceiling—and to carry on the Eckles and Turner legacy of filling life with laughter, vibrancy, and a tight-knit circle of friends and family (with maybe a few mini-Eckles down the road). One day, we hope to finally crack the code on how to out-party our parents!
