We will be sending the invites in May and will request an RSVP by June 14th.
We recommend that guests stay in Keene, NH at the Courtyard Marriot or the Fairfield Inn (or within walking distance) because busses will pick up from these locations and bring guests to the venue.
We will provide shuttles to and from the wedding venue. There are limited taxis and Ubers available, so we wouldn't recommend relying on them. Staying at the recommended hotels (or walking distance from them) will make the commute between hotels and the venue seamless!
Since the ceremony will be in the afternoon on the 9th, we recommend having a secured place to change and get ready. This likely means having a hotel room for Friday August 8th and Saturday August 9th. There will also be a Welcome Party on the 8th!
There are many great spots in Boston! Boston is relatively small, so you can stay in one area and navigate around. Here is where some of the attractions are located: Fenway is great for Red Sox games and is close to the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum The South End has cute cobblestone streets and fun restaurants The North End is the “Little Italy” of Boston, with lots of great Italian restaurants Beacon Hill is home to the Boston Commons and Public Garden and cute local shopping including the Beacon Hill Bookstore The Seaport has the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Boston Aquarium, some fun activity bars (PKL for pickleball, F1 arcade, Puttshack) restaurants, and shopping.
The Boston Public Library has several locations and is a great place for quiet work. Caffe Nero is a coffee shop with a comfy vibe that Kara enjoyed studying from. For meetings, it may be best to stay in your hotel room or reserve a WeWork space.
We recommend renting a car or carpooling with someone in Boston who is driving.
Your invitation will be addressed to who we are expecting and excited to see! Your invitation will be sent out about 6 weeks ahead of the wedding.
We are planning to have an outdoor ceremony and a tented outdoor reception. We, of course, have rain contingency plans. Guests will have to walk on both grass and gravel, so please wear the shoes that work best for that!
The high is expected to be 79°F and the low is expected to be 58°F. This is a wide range, so please plan to check the weather before you pack and bring a shawl or sweater if you think you’ll be more comfortable!
The attire is formal, but please keep in mind the venue is outdoors– so ankle length dresses (beware long dresses will touch grass!), jumpsuits, suits, and tuxes are all great. For people wearing heels, we recommend wearing a block heel to avoid sinking in the grass (we'll also have heel covers). Feel free to bring extra shoes or outerwear for comfort! Please reserve white and champagne for the bride (Kara doesn't mind pastels, black, or red-- which are sometimes on do not wear lists). If you're looking for inspo or wondering what we're picturing, check out this collage: https://tinyurl.com/KNattire
The bridesmaids will be wearing sage green, but don’t let that stop you if you also like that color! Green is both Kara and Nolan's favorite color, so there is never too much!
We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration (with a few young adults). Thank you for understanding and making arrangements to celebrate with us. We completely understand the need to prioritize young children, and understand if this means you’re unable to attend, and we’ll miss celebrating with you.
The people who are invited are among our favorite people in the world! The last thing we want is to negatively impact you in any way. If the wedding feel like any kind of stressor, please know we want you to put yourself first. There will many celebrations to come <3
This wedding website hopefully will answer many of your questions. Please see the travel tab and schedule tab. Feel free to text Kara or Nolan with questions from now until 1 month before the wedding. With 1 month to go, they will be focusing on finalizing details for a fun day! Between July and August 9, please text Ms. Johansen, Mrs. Constantine, or Carina Ciolfi (co-maid of honor). Feel free to ask Kara or Nolan for their phone numbers.
