Nate and Kara had their first date at a Starbucks on October 13, 2019. Before this date, they connected on a dating site called Bumble. On this specific site, the girl has to message the guy first. Kara saw Nate's big smile and sent the first message. They bonded over their love of music and the conversation took off from there. Nate told Kara if she was ever in his neck of the woods, they should meet up. Kara being her bold self said they needed to make that happen. After the first date, Kara and Nate hit it off. After a couple months of dating, they made it official with the boyfriend/ girlfriend title on December 8th, 2019. From then on, Nate and Kara were inseparable and when the pandemic hit, they were spending even more time with each other and still insanely happy with one another. Nate eventually moved into Kara's house in Columbia and sold his place in Bethesda. Nate, Kara, and their two cats Winnie and Cheddar had many days and nights just together as the pandemic stopped a lot of social gatherings. Nate and Kara got to spend basically every minute together since they were both working from home. As the world returned to some type of normalcy, events were starting back up and friends and families could come back together safely. On May 15th, 2021, Nate took Kara to have dinner in Annapolis with his mom and sister and to Kara's complete surprise, Nate got down on one knee in front of the beautiful Annapolis water and asked her to marry him. Nate pulled out all the stops that day with so many surprises including having Kara's family surprise her from Philadelphia and then later that night, all her best friends waiting at the house to celebrate the newly engaged couple. Nate and Kara cannot be more excited to start their lives together as husband and wife with all of their closest family and friends.
