Welcome to the beginning of forever

It was Saturday, February 12, 2022. We had both created a profile on Facebook's "Dating" section. Not sure what to expect, Joe had been swiping right, and Kara had been swiping left... until she saw Joe's profile and decided to check out the message he had sent her. It started out like almost every other conversation by making small talk and trying to find things that they had in common to make the conversation flow smoothly. It didn't take long before they had exchanged numbers and moved their conversation from Facebook to text. Within a day, Joe had decided that he wanted to meet this woman who seemed to be equally as interested in meeting as he was. So, the very next Saturday, February 19th, 2022, Joe drove all the way from Gary, Indiana across 70+ miles to meet Kara at a small breakfast joint, in South Bend, Indiana. They ate brunch, talked, laughed, and there may or may not have been a bit of playful flirting. Time flew, winter ended, spring came, and then gave way to summer... and without even knowing how, when, or why... they fell in love. If you ask Kara, she would say that her past trauma's, fears, and insecurities didn't matter any more. Joe treated her with respect, and loved her equally and as intensely as she loved him. There was no questioning if he was the right one - She just knew. "There is no fear in perfect love, for perfect love casts out fear..." (1 John 4:18). If asked, Joe would have said that it was love at first sight and that he knew she was something special from day one. Kara was never a fan of the term "Soulmate" because she believed it to be "cliché". Needless to say, the first time Joe called Kara his soulmate, it took her aback... but strangely enough... she didn't recoil. She knew that this was who God had for her. "I have found the one whom my soul loves" (Song of Solomon 3:4). Kara and Joe had met their soul's mate.
