Thanksgiving 2018 is where this all began, with a cute match on Bumble; leading into a Love story. As it goes the pair matched, chatted and before long were head over heals for one another, just kidding. There wasn’t an instant mutual attraction at first. Kara was surfing the dating pool all the while Jon was pulling her in, but even with a quick trip out of town to visit family they never stopped talking. On the way back home Kara's car broke down and in the moment she said to Jon that he would have to come and save her, “of course” he replied and that was when they knew their would be a first date. December 8th was their first date, Buffalo wild wings was the romantic destination, and to be honest Kara almost flaked on him, but the idea of some free chicken wings pulled her back in. If you know Kara you are quietly giggling right now. She loves her food! Upon meeting they hit it off pretty quickly, the night proceeded with a movie date to Creed 2. After the date and saying goodnight they went their separate ways, not knowing if they would see each other again. But Jon was persistant, a good morning phone call and an invitation to breakfast pulled Kara back in, as Jon's best friend David said “there’s that free food again!” but it was already in motion, Kara knew now she liked Jon and she wanted to put in the effort to make it work! They started exclusively dating December 10th 2018, spending every moment together from here on, spending as much time together and if they weren’t together they were talking all night long. Kara would sing along to YouTube videos and put Jon to sleep. It was his favorite thing and he still complains now that she doesn’t do it anymore!. A few short weeks into dating Kara slipped up and told Jon that she loved him while they were driving . She was so embarrassed! But it wasn’t long before jon said it back to her that night, from that point on they knew they were in it for the long haul!

Jon proposed June 20th, 2019 by placing a ring on Kara’s finger, although not so gracefully she still said yes to marrying him. Here’s to Marriage and a happily every after
