We're getting married!

We met in college at Elon University, and have actually been friends since freshman year! It wasn’t until a few years later, during our senior year, when we realized we had strong feelings for one another and quickly started falling for each other. We officially started dating on New Year’s Eve 2013-2014, so now we have an extra reason to celebrate each year. After one year of long-distance from Chicago to Boston, we have been settled in Boston ever since and can’t wait to begin this next chapter.

The engagement happened on vacation in Iceland this past fall. We were in full on adventure mode every day – exploring the views, chasing waterfalls, and hiking through glaciers. On our way to the Reynisfjara black sand beach in Vik, Guy kept saying “I have a feeling this is going to be the most memorable stop of the whole trip.” Obviously, he was right! It was such a beautiful day with the sun shining and waves crashing into the beach. We were walking along the coast together taking it all in, and naturally wanted a photo together. Guy asked a stranger to take the picture, but instead of posing alongside me he started smiling and dropped down to one knee. I was so shocked and inexplicably happy! After screaming yes, sobbing tears of joy, and gushing over the gorgeous ring, we got to celebrate throughout the rest of our trip in gorgeous Iceland.

We can’t wait for you to join us on our wedding day. We are getting married at St. Leonard’s Church in Boston’s North End, with a reception to follow at the Liberty Hotel. Looking forward to celebrating this next chapter with you. See you in Boston!
