Gina and Kara met freshman year at UVM. They bonded over a mutual love of breakfast and instantly became best friends. Not much has changed since then...they still regularly wear matching outfits unintentionally, watch rom-coms together, and share a love of crafting and cooking. Gina is always ready to help plan a great party!
Alexander Sampson
Best Man
College roommate and best friend. Derek and Sampson grew close over shared interests in Neil deGrasse Tyson documentaries, Lord of the Rings, and all things Boston.
Sarah Claflin
Bridesmaid
Sarah became like a sister to Kara when they met all the way back in middle school. They remained close friends through high school and college, and eventually lived together for 3 years in Madison, WI. After their time in Wisconsin, Kara moved back to Massachusetts and Sarah moved to Bristol, England. Although they don't get to see each other as often as they would like, it's like nothing has changed whenever they do get together.
Tom Clements
Groomsman
College roommate and fellow ROTC alumni. Derek and Tom bonded over IPAs, politics, and an appreciation for single origin coffee beans from East Africa (light roast only).
Scott Freeman
Bridesman
Kara's brother and oldest friend. Kara and Scott have always been close, so it was a natural choice to have him as a "bridesman." Derek is also very excited to be gaining a brother that he gets along with so well.

College friend and kindred spirit. Chris and Derek share a love of skiing, movies, and staying up late listening to obscure audiobooks.

Kara and Derek both met Rachael on their first day at UVM. If it wasn't for her, Kara and Derek may have never crossed paths. She remains a dear friend and constant source of entertainment. Kara and Derek are honored to have her as their officiant!
