Our story started in 2021 at work at Moffitt Cancer Center. We quickly became friends and connected almost instantly. At the time, neither of us had any idea that the friendship we were building would turn into the life we now share together. The details of our first date are still up for debate. Christian will confidently tell you that he made the first move and asked Kara out for drinks… while Kara would like everyone to know that she remembers things a little differently. Either way, after that first “date” (or hangout, depending on who you ask), we’ve been inseparable ever since. Our relationship grew through a shared love of music — everything from Fred Again to Frank Sinatra — along with traveling, laughing, and dreaming about the future we wanted to build together. The biggest and most beautiful part of that future arrived with our daughter, Emma. She is our greatest joy and blessing, and we feel so lucky that she will be part of this special moment in our lives. In February 2025, Christian proposed, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for our family. We are so grateful for the journey that brought us here and can’t wait to celebrate our wedding surrounded by the people we love most.
