Well, I suppose you could say the stars were aligned. For three summers, our daughters played on the same travel basketball team, STARS. During our third summer traveling & watching our daughters, Bryan took a chance and sent a text or two to just me. This was our last tournament before returning to our high school teams because June was dedicated to team camp. We won that tournament & everyone was snapping pictures of the winning group. I had asked the group to send me a good picture because all of mine were terrible. About the time I rolled back home, I started getting pictures from Bryan, separately. That was the open door. From there, we chatted via text and calls until he finally asked me, "Would you like to go to dinner, outside of basketball?" I said "sure!". We met on the sidelines, chatted on the bleachers, and cheered on our favorites to get to where we are today. Basketball will come and go, but our lives were forever changed by the STARS that aligned.
