Short story here - Brandon and Kara met at a mutual friend's birthday happy hour. That evening when Kara found out Brandon was from Iowa... she immediately texted her friend Stephanie, a fellow Iowan, saying 'I'm in trouble - he's from Iowa. I'm a magnet for you people!!" He asked to buy her a drink, she heckled him a little and then said yes. They also later found out that some friends of theirs were wanting to set them up months before they met. Well, they made their way to one another on their own... And then as they say -- the rest was history!

After years of living their lives individually, Brandon and Kara knew that this relationship was special from the get go. They were inseparable from the time they met and things just 'clicked'. They were gearing up to celebrate their one year anniversary and Brandon let Kara know that he had booked ski train tickets for them to head up to Winter Park for a day of skiing. What Kara learned later was that he had also established a plan to stay at Union Station the night before catching the train. Brandon knew that this was one of Kara's favorite architectural spaces. Kara was very excited and booked a reservation for drinks at one of their favorite spots, Coopers Lounge, in Union Station. It was on their way across the great hall that Kara felt a shrug and turned around to have Brandon on one knee asking to her to marry him. She quickly said yes and here we are... #Rowlandinto2018!
