Kara and Austin met at Ferris State University through a group of friends. For her, she liked him from the moment she saw him. For him, he was shy and thought she was weird. As they spent time together in the group it was clear Kara would have to make the first move by saying "hi" to him everyday. A couple months later Austin started warming up to Kara and talking with her. They spent more time together going on silly adventures that had them laughing. Austin finally asked Kara to be his girlfriend the day before she was moving back home for summer break. 5 short-ish years (emphasis on ish) and Austin proposed to Kara on their 5th anniversary.
