We met first day of fall cornhole. We were both instantly attracted to one another but both thought the other was taken. Thankfully we were both single and gradually got to know one another during the cornhole season. Our first hangout/ date outside of cornhole was Alex helped Kara study for her WSET (wine) exam.

Alex did a fantastic job arranging the engagement day! Kara started the day off going to the farmers market with his mom with plans to go to a kid's school function afterwards. When swinging home after the farmers market, she was welcomed by a ring box with a heartfelt note explaining to meet at a place that has been fundamental in our relationship after having some time to get ready. She was absolutely surprised! Kara met Alex at their church and Alex proposed in the prayer garden. The boys and his mom came out to share in the happy moment and their deacon was there to bless the engagement. Alex and Kara decided to go to one of their favorite date night spots for a celebratory drink and to Kara's surprise Alex had arranged for her friends to meet at the pub for an engagement party! It was such a magical and special day!
