Things To Do

Savannah is such a unique & beautiful city! We are very excited to share some of our favorite places & spaces with y'all!
Wormsloe Historic Site

Wormsloe Historic Site

7601 Skidaway Road, Savannah, GA 31406
, (912) 353-3023

This is one of the locations for our engagement shoot and BY FAR one of our favorite places to visit in the city! The entrance fee is $10.00 per person but traveling down the avenue of the live oak trees makes it absolutely worth the cost! Wormsloe also offers walking trails and tours to give some insight into colonial living.

Historic District

Historic District

Savannah, GA 31401

One of the great things about historic downtown is that it is a VERY walkable part of the city. BUT if you aren't up for all the foot action, taking an "intro" trolley tour is also a good way to become well acquainted with the city. A few things to highlight: River Street, City Market, Broughton Street (shopping), Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Mercer Williams House ( Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil), Paula Deen's "The Lady & Sons" restaurant and last but not least, Forsyth Park. The historic district offers something for everyone regardless of your interests- oh and there is no open container law, allowing you to roam freely with drink in hand!

Tybee Island

Tybee Island

Tybee Island, GA 31328

Who doesn't love the beach? Tybee beach is about 15 miles from downtown Savannah and offers a completely different feel than that of the historic district. There you truly are on an island, with a very authentic vibe all of it's own! Tybee is not overly crowded in the winter months, since it is not traditional beach weather but still makes for a very relaxing outing!

Bonaventure Cemetery

Bonaventure Cemetery

330 Bonaventure Road, Tunderbolt, Georgia 31404

Savannah is known for being one of the most haunted cities in America- so no way could we exclude a cemetery from the list of recommendations. Of all the cemeteries in Savannah (and there are quite a few), Bonaventure is by far the most noteworthy. Established in the late 1800s, it is the final resting place for some of Savannah's most well-known historical figures. Bonaventure is also (and most notably) referenced in the book, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". Side note- if you haven't read that book, we strongly recommend that you do so prior to coming to Savannah because it will be referenced in many different capacities as you explore the city. Now to be honest, spending time in a cemetery is not our cup of tea, but the detailed Victorian designs that cover the grounds make it worth the while!
