Thank you to everyone who joined us for the live stream on Saturday! We appreciate everyone going out of their way to join us during this difficult time. If you have any photos of your celebrations while watching, please send them along to us at rvorderm+wedding@gmail.com; we'd love to see them! As soon as we have updates about a reception we will inform you all. Love, Ryan and Ashley
Ryan and Ashley met just as any self-respecting millennial meets his/her significant other - on a dating app called J-Swipe. After talking for a few days, Ryan invited Ashley to an Avalanche game (hold your comments until the end Detroit fans). She promptly switched her call schedule with one of her co-residents and met Ryan at a restaurant for dinner prior to the game. Despite Ryan not having many words to say during dinner (he left Ashley to get chastised for being a Red Wings fan), they still had a great time watching the Sharks lose. The rest is history. Don't worry, though, Ashley still rocks her Red Wings jerseys to Avalanche games and Ryan has been officially converted to a Michigan Wolverines fan.
It was a cold, Saturday evening in December; Ryan and Ashley were dressed in their finest for one of the most anticipated Denver dental events - G.V. Black Tie. It was also Chanukah. Ryan insisted on giving Ashley a gift, even though they had mutually decided on no gifts. She opened the box and it was a digital photo album with several pre-loaded pictures of Ryan, Ashley, Claudius, and Aurelia (the last two being the cats, obviously). Then, several close-up photos appeared that Ashley did not recognize. After a few of these mysterious photos, Ashley was confused about whether these pictures were meant to be in the slideshow. She shouted, "Is that THE ring?!", turned around and Ryan was on one knee, with shaking hands for the proposal. As you can guess, she said "yes", or you wouldn't be reading this website right now.
