Katie and Anton met in 2017 through the dating site Coffee Meets Bagel, when Anton impressed Katie with an opening line nerding out about the books they were reading. From their first date at True Food to their first kiss in the Pupatella parking lot, it wasn't long before they realized they'd found something special. Pretty soon, they were talking every day, seeing each other multiple times a week, and thinking about a future together. So they got a puppy, moved Katie to Alexandria, and the rest is history!

Anton took Katie for a romantic brunch in Old Town Alexandria at one of their favorite spots. Afterwards, they went on a stroll and ended up in the gardens of Carlyle House, where they had shared their first dance in the gazebo on their third date. Anton suggested they re-live that first dance, and spun Katie around. When she turned to face him, he was down on one knee! Katie began crying immediately, said an emphatic "yes!", and the lovebirds jetted off to Maryland's Eastern Shore for a romantic weekend of celebration!
