Hikes: Rabit Lake, Flat Top, Little O'Malley, Hatchers Pass, and Eagle River Nature Center, the Coastal Trail (paved) If the weather permits you can drive to Flat Top and Hatchers Pass Food & Drinks: Whiskey & Ramen (reservation needed the day before), 49th State Brewering, Moose Tooth or Bear Tooth, Brew House, Anchorage Brewery, Fire Island Bakery, and all the Asian food is really good. Anchorage Distillery makes the best and most reasonably priced cocktails in town. You can't go wrong by stopping at one of the multitude of coffee kiosks. Just an hour outside of Anchorage and on the way to the venue, known for its beauty. Whittier is the best place in Alaska to see amazing tidewater glaciers and marine and other wildlife. You'll find the world's largest concentration of tidewater glaciers here. Along the Kenai is where the wedding will be held. It is about 2.5-3 hours from Anchorage. This area is especially known for its fishing, the largest Salmon in the world have been caught here. Seward is nestled into the mouth of Resurrection Bay, an area teaming with wildlife and mountains. Homer is a small city on Kachemak Bay, on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. It is known for its panorama of mountains, white peaks, and glaciers.
