WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

We met in 6th grade. He was friends with my cousin and I was the new girl. He loved to pick on me when we were younger. As we grew older, we were still friends but I wasn't very fond of him. Let's put it this way... I was the president of the photography club in high school and he was one of the best football players. Opposites attract right? Well, turns out we weren't as opposite as we thought. A year after high school we started spending more and more time together. But Derek got cold feet (because I'm so cool) and sadly we stopped talking and seeing each other. I moved to Colorado for a year to get away from the AZ heat and secretly, from him. But, I couldn't stay away. And neither could he. Almost exactly a year later on my 19th birthday, he texted me. Apologizing for his actions and of course, wishing me a happy birthday. We talked more and more and texts turned into phone calls. A few months later I went to visit family in AZ and we decided to go get ice cream! It was all down hill from there. We started dating and four months later I found myself moving back to this beautiful desert. We spent almost every single day together for the next year. We moved in together and adopted our own cat and soon after that we rescued a puppy. Flash forward to August 2016. We were expecting a beautiful baby girl! We knew that this was going to be the greatest adventure we have ever had! November 13, we had a huge gender reveal party and after being covered in pink paint (yay a girl), Derek got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! Ummm about time! Of course I said yes! He's my better half. He keeps me and our daughter safe. He makes me laugh. He loves me unconditionally. He's my person. I can't wait to marry my best friend!
