FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to venue constraints, strictly no +1s

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Many guests are choosing to arrive 2-3 days before the festivities for tourism. There will be no free time during the wedding to leave the hotel. Please coordinate with our wedding planner to book additional stay a couple days before and after the wedding events, at the group rate. Otherwise, please refer to our "Travel & Stay" page to book a hotel.

Question

How should I handle jet lag?

Answer

9 hours jet lag is difficult for even the most seasoned travellers. Please try to sleep on the flight, and during your first few days in Dubai, please try to avoid napping during the day.

Question

How should I dress outside of events?

Answer

Dubai is a highly chic, albeit often conservative country. Please feel free to wear your best clothes throughout Dubai. Please do NOT wear super revealing clothing.

Question

When can I do touristy things?

Answer

We advise arriving a few days before, or staying on after, the celebrations to explore Dubai. There will be no free time during the wedding days. Check out our "Things to Do" tab for ideas.

Question

How hot will it be?

Answer

Dubai weather in December is very pleasant. However, the UV is still strong so we recommend wearing SPF 50 when at the pool or beach to be safe. Please stay hydrated as we are in a desert!

Question

Can I drink the tap water?

Answer

No, bottled water only.

Question

What should I be cautious about?

Answer

Emiratis are very proud of their culture; please be respectful. It goes without saying, but absolutely NO drugs (CBD, marijuana, use your imagination), vapes or Zyn's. Dubai International Airport has a 0 tolerance policy on these items. If caught, you will be detained and sent back to your country. Feel free to reach out if you have a question about the legality of an item. Better to ask beforehand than deal with it on arrival in Dubai.
