Flight

Florence, Italy

It's highly recommended to plan to be in Florence, Italy by or before Friday October 3rd to join the first event of the wedding weekend. If possible, check out the city of Florence for a couple nights before or after the weekend. It's full of Renaissance history, breathtaking architecture, and stunning art! Since there are no direct flights from the US to Florence, we encourage adding another city or country to your vacation before getting into Florence! Popular connecting cities include: Barcelona, London, Paris, Frankfurt, or Rome. We suggest booking flights into one of these cities, exploring for a few nights, then heading into Florence! Luckily, flying or taking trains once you're in the EU is very easy and usually very affordable. Another nearby airport option is in Pisa, which, being larger than Florence's airport, may offer more flight routes. Here are some examples and suggestions: Suggestion #1: Book a direct flight from Los Angeles to Rome. Explore this historic city for a few days and book a 1.5 hour train ride into Florence. Fly back home from the Florence airport. Suggestion #2: Book a direct flight from Los Angeles into Paris. Hang out in the city of love for a few days and book a quick flight into Florence. Fly back home from the Florence airport. Suggestion #3: If you have extra PTO for a longer vacation, book a another city/country on your way back home! For example, book a one-way from Los Angeles to Rome, then fly out of Florence into Paris, then from Paris back to Los Angeles. We understand traveling can be difficult and stressful, feel free to reach out for assistance. (Ashley loves travel planning!) **Please note that the EU will be requiring visas in the second half of this year, which will require an extra step or two prior to flying. We will send out a notification when this information is released, but keep this in mind!
