"Everything good in life starts with a cheese coney." I had heard of this Claire Sheanshang girl the night before from mutual friends but had no idea I would be working the 3-9 shift with her the next day at Skyline. I nervously introduced myself to this beautiful girl while I was working the steamtable. After meeting her, I was hooked and tried my best to impress Claire! I cleaned her entire serving area only to lift up the Bissel before turning it off, making an even bigger mess than the one I just cleaned. But Claire was nice enough to still meet up via a mutual friend for ice cream that night. The two of us hit it off over the next 3 days, until we were spending each night just us talking, oblivious of any friends around us. I finally asked Claire out after my Homecoming dance and the rest, as they say, is history!
"Oh my god, you're not kidding." We were celebrating our 7 year anniversary and went to Devou Park as we do nearly every year. We were overlooking the city and talking, when Matt handed me a cake that resembled the one he used to ask me to Homecoming in 2011. I didn't suspect anything. He then stood us both up and said some very nice things, yet I still did not know what was going on. Then Matt got down on one knee. But I still thought it was all a big joke. It was not until he pulled out the ring that I realized what was going on. My response was "Oh my God, you're not kidding..." quickly followed by "Yes!"
"I do!" After nearly 10 years together (+ a global pandemic), we finally get our forever! Come prepared to dance, because we are ready to party with everyone who has helped get us this far!!
