In 2014, we were introduced by a mutual friend during a casual outing in Baltimore. Allie was visiting a friend from college and Nick just happened to be her roommate. After a fun filled night out at the bars, Nick made the first move on Allie but she was too busy playing hard to get. Thank goodness Nick believed in second chances and Allie was able to charm her way back into Nick's life.
Nick told Allie he would be going away to coyote camp for the weekend. At the time, Nick was always on the road for work and Allie was clearly upset he was using some of their only time together for this trip. Throughout the day, Allie kept getting texts from Nick that she would need to come home right after work, because Bettis was throwing up and Nick couldn't clean it up. This made Allie even more upset and she avoided going home by trash talking him up and down the school hallway. Little did she know that Bettis was throwing up because Nick was projecting his anxiety on the poor dog. When Allie finally came home, she was surprised by a bouquet of daisies and "Rivers and Roads" being played over the stereo. Nick and Bettis appeared and popped the question. Needless to say, Allie did not stay mad at Nick.
