How We Met

We started out as a lot of couple have these days...on a app. While maybe we can't say that our start is that uncommon, it still felt unique and special as the start of our story. Mostly how effortless it was. Neither of us wanted to push for something special too fast or put too much pressure on a new relationship. We figured we would let it happen on it's own. Very simply put we just kept enjoying spending more and more time together. We started sharing each other's interests and slowly we really did become friends. We hadn't even had a conversation about being together officially...Mike just mentioned one day that he talked to someone about his "girlfriend" much to Lauren's surprise. Everything else progressed as naturally as the beginning - slowly Lauren spending more nights at Mike's than at home, then moving in. From then on we knew we were stuck with each other. If we could make it through living at 101 Cornell, we could make it through anything. The clear next step was to get our own space and we were luckily able to buy our condo just before Covid. We have since grown our little family with our 4 little kitties Baxter, Katara, Batty, and Maui. We have grown our careers together and filled our first home with so much love and so many memories. The only thing left was to make it paper official so that we could celebrate with all of you! We talked about marriage and we knew we were on the same page, except that Mike took his time forming a plan while Lauren sat impatiently waiting. All of the wait has been worth it, though to be able to share this wonderful day with our loved ones and make it the most memorable day of our lives! We love you all so much and we can't wait to have fun at the Boathouse with you!
