Joey and Trish first met in 2012 at Utica College. Trish first caught Joey's eye at a college party wearing a black leather jacket and a strong Staten Island accent. He was too nervous to approach her at first, but later that night, mustered up enough courage and introduced himself. They became close friends that year, frequently going on Holland Farm coffee dates between classes. In May 2012, they shared there first kiss in a dim lit college basement party (real romantic!) During college, Joey and Trish were both captains of the men's and women's lacrosse teams and spent their days with their friends, going to classes and of course playing lacrosse! After graduation, Trish went back down to Staten Island and Joey got a job in Utica. After two years of long distance, the country boy decided to test out his city roots. They moved to Jersey City, NJ where Trish worked as a NYC Elementary School Teacher and Joey became an Research and Development Specialist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. They spent their days traveling, exploring their neighborhood and spending time with friends and family. On September 5th, 2020 Joey proposed to Trish off the dock of his family home in the Saint Lawrence River. After 8 years of being together, Trish will officially become Mrs. Joseph Schoen.
